Doomsday Preppers: Tim Ralston Preparing for an EMP

In Season 1 Episode 3 of Doomsday Preppers we discussed the guest Tim Ralston who is preparing for an EMP. We all know that the producers love making preppers look a little crazy, but they didn’t have to try hard in this episode.

While we try to be realistic in our assessment of the preppers on the show, this one had our blood boiling. By blowing his thumb off, Tim singlehandedly made preppers look dangerous and reinforced some people's "crazy prepper" notions.

We usually try to give our thoughts on each of these guests' preparedness plans, but they didn't go into much detail about what Tim has done. They talked more about what he did and is doing.
