Austria Plans to Drop Most COVID-19 Restrictions

Austria will lift most of its remaining COVID-19 restrictions by March 5, the country's chancellor announced Wednesday. People will no longer need to show proof of vaccination or recent recovery to enter most public venues. Just two weeks ago, Austria made vaccines mandatory for all adults, making it the first country in Europe to pass such a law.
