2045 PROLOGUE: The End, and the Beginning.

The year is 2045, it was claimed that the cold war ended in 1991. This proclamation came too early, and was more a wish than a reality. The cold war did not end at the beginning of the 1990’s, it simply became colder, more obscured from the eyes of the masses. Out of sight, out of mind as the saying goes. Nevertheless, behind the scenes tensions were brewing and conflicts were flaring up on the geopolitical world scene. Cold war propaganda in the west had programmed the average John Doe to expect the first strike to come from the threat from the east. No one west of the former iron curtain could have ever expected that the United States would make the first move on the former Soviet Union, in this lethal game of chess. In the year 2024, on May 5th the real cold war climaxed when the U.S unleashed their full nuclear arsenal atop Russia.
