A slightly different take on this video/incident

IF you put yourself into the shoes of the police...
And, IF you accept the very REAL possibility that BAD actors want to infiltrate into Ottawa and cause 'trouble', (now, this is a very real danger, there are strong "leftie"/commie elements who want to do EXACTLY that... they are WAITING for an opportunity to create havoc and spin this peaceful movement into a darker direction) and so, the Ottawa police's primary concern is public safety and ensuring the prevention of any such troublesome events from occurring.

They quite possibly have substantive intel that there are those bad actors actively trying to get into the city center and do *whatever* stupid, violent crap.
In response, the police have to treat everyone with utmost suspicion. The situation is quite possibly extremely volatile and more dangerous than we might think.

IDK any such details, of course. But undeniably, there is such a real possibility.
I get the impression that the first police officer in this vid is not at all abusive. Things did get a bit out of hand after the second guy came into the picture, but he seemed to me more just running out of patience and I can certainly sympathize, from previous jobs I've had, sort of like this, where I often found myself dealing with the public who were not listening, had no appreciation of the serious aspects at play, and/or were generally, pardon the phrase, 'playing dumb'...
Honestly, no one can fully understand the stresses these police are under unless they have walked a mile in their shoes.
