Is the US Becoming a Democracy???

If terminology is repeated enough it is believed by many. I fear that the influencers all around us past and present have convinced enough people that our republic is actually a democracy in the sense that majority rules. Our founders were brilliant enough to know that we do not want to be ruled by the whims of the mob. I mostly fear communism, and it definitely feels like there is a big push to make us that way.
