Build a Shed - OSB Siding - Video 8/17

Its time to get the OSB siding installed on the side of the shed walls. This step is important for a couple of reasons. The sheathing gives the shed strength. And also provides a surface to attach the water proof exterior siding to. To install the siding or sheathing I start by placing a couple screws at the bottom of the building where I want the osb to rest. In my case I want the osb to cover the bottom of the 3/4" treated plywood base. I move a sheet of siding into place and use 2-1/2" screws to fasten the sheeting to the wall. After the siding has been installed I install home wrap for weather protection. This membrane keeps moisture away from the siding.
