Can One Bad GPU affect the others in your Rig?

I have a 6 GPU 3080 TI LHR Rig. One GPU has high memory temps causing to think it needs new thermal pads. Two other GPUs were showing high memory temps as well. So I removed the 1st GPU showing high temps. Then I ran the remaining 5 GPUs in the rigs. Guess what, the Memory temps were a lot lower without that one problematic GPU. Replacing the thermal pads and adding more thermal paste did cause the problematic GPU to run cooler memory temps. But when running this with the other 5, all temps go up. Very odd.
