Located in Revelstoke, British Columbia is a unique seasonal attraction. On this episode we bring you the pipe mountain coaster.

Usually in the summertime ski resorts are less busy. Some have moved over to offering downhill mountain bike trails but the revelstoke mountain resort has built something very unique. The pipe mountain coaster as its called is a downhill 1 way rollercoaster that span across almost a mile or 1.4 kms of track. Descending 915 vertical feet or 279 meters this ride floats just 3 feet off the ground with top speed around 26 miles or 42 km per hour.

No climbing is required, the gondola takes rider to the top of the attraction. Riders are able to take a child with them as they traverse down and across ski runs, through forest cutouts, grassy meadows and a steel tunnel at the start of the ride.

A single handle between the legs allows the rider to apply a brake to limit speed. Held down by a seatbelt, the cart that carries riders down has a max capacity of 260 lbs or 118 kg.

Many who ride this mountain coaster recommend doing 2 rides, using the brake on the first one to get a feel for it than going full speed on the 2nd.
