Designed in Silicon Valley and constructed in Germany comes an experience that is a one of a kind. On this episode we unviel the VR Waterslide.

The experience of the waterslide has gone to new levels with this new invention. Ballast vr the first aquatic virtual reality company offers the ability to ride the same slide with multiple different virtual visuals.

How it works, there are 6 ultrasonic sensors placed on the slide that keep the visuals matched up with the riders position. Riders strap on vr goggles just before embarking on the ride. A station next to the water slide entrance houses up to 30 goggles that have different vr experiences loaded on them. Riders will simply swap out for a new pair of goggles for a new experience.

As time goes on different and more compelling experiences will arise as the technology is used more. Being able to be used underwater, these goggles can be used for sea diving and scuba experiences but it doesn’t stop there. This setup shows the goggles being used to simulate the experience of a flying squirrel suit and this one of alpine downhill skiing.
