Sensors Compatible with an Interlogix Simon XTi Alarm System

In this video, Joe explains which sensors can be used with the Interlogix Simon XTi Alarm Panel. The system has a built-in wireless receiver that allows it to communicate with 319.5 MHz wireless sensors. This includes sensors from Interlogix/GE and Qolsys. Sensors are easily enrolled with the panel.

The Simon XTi will support up to 40 zones for wireless sensors. This makes the system suitable for most homes and smaller businesses. A user can easily learn-in new sensors with the Simon XTi Security Panel using either the Installer Code or the Dealer Code. All the user has to do is put the system into its wireless enrollment mode, activate the tamper cover on the sensor and program a few basic sensor settings. This includes setting the Sensor Group to determine how the device will function.

With its 319.5 MHz wireless receiver, the Simon XTi has a large selection of programming options. Interlogix sensors, which were previously sold as GE sensors, have been on the market for years, and they make for great additions to a Simon XT System. The Interlogix/GE lineup is very extensive, and most users will be able to find the perfect devices to fit their needs.

The Simon XTi will also support Qolsys Sensors. This includes the standard unencrypted Qolsys Sensors and the encrypted S-Line Qolsys Sensors. But it is important to note that when the S-Line Sensors are used with the Simon XTi, they will not utilize any methods of encryption. Instead, they will function as standard unencrypted sensors.

All of the sensors that are used with the Simon XTi can also be used with the Interlogix Simon XT, Simon XTi-5 and the Qolsys Alarm Panels. Each of these systems features a 319.5 MHz wireless receiver that allows these sensors to be successfully enrolled.
