Creative construction and a love for cats has resulted in what many have dubbed the world’s best cat enclosure.
Gaining fame and upvotes in record time reddit user flower posted this image of an outdoor cat tree stating “My dad made my indoor cats a tower/bridge/treehouse so they could safely enjoy the outdoors.” Redditors went crazy over this post pushing to the top of reddit within a day with over 75 thousand upvotes.

Many questions started to pour in like:
“Does it connect to the house?”
“How do the cats get inside?”
“How long did it take to build?”
“How much did it cost?”
And “are there more pictures?”

To everyone’s surprise flower has been very active answering questions, providing information and many additional pictures.

Flower’s dad spent around 20 hours building this cat tree but it should be noted being a high skilled carpenter which is evident in the quality construction of this tree house the average person should probably expect to take double that amount of time if you’re thinking of building one yourself. Built with lumber wire mesh and a post for the lookout tower as well as a few metal latches the materials list isn’t all that complicated. There are doors that open up into the lookout tower and two on the other side near the house which I’m assuming is for easy access to get one of the two cats out that call this their outdoor home. These access points aren’t how the cats get in and out of the cat tree though. A meshed in space under the deck has access to a low lookup perch which is connected to a window. Built in Ontario Canada, it took around $300 dollars, Canadian to build this treehouse and catwalk. Spoiled cats Daisy and Marvel spend a lot of time in the catio with daisy having a bed and blanket under the deck at the base of tower.
