Can I Use the Skybell DBCam Trim w: a Lyric Security System?

In this video, Joe demonstrates how the SkyBell DBCam Trim is compatible with the Honeywell Lyric Controller. This is done through the Total Connect 2.0 service. If a user intends to use the DBCam Trim with the Lyric, they should be sure that they do not purchase the Alarm.com version of the device.

In most cases, a SkyBell DBCam Trim can be installed in the same location as a standard doorbell. It can often use the same power supply that the previous thermostat used. However, it may be necessary to use an external power supply with the device. Once the device has been installed and powered on, it can be integrated with Total Connect.

To integrate the SkyBell DBCam Trim with Total Connect, the user will need to have the SkyBell feature enabled for Total Connect. This can be done by the user's alarm monitoring company. Once the feature is enabled, the user can sync their SkyBell DBCam Trim with their Total Connect account using the Total Connect Mobile App on their iOS or Android device.

The SkyBell DBCam Trim will need to be in its WIFI synchronization mode when syncing the device. This mode is identified by the LED light on the device blinking red and green. This mode can be accessed by pressing and holding the main doorbell button on the device. From the TC2 mobile app, the user should following the instructions under the "Doorbell" menu to connect the SkyBell to a WIFI network and to pair it with Total Connect.

Once the SkyBell DBCam Trim has been paired with Total Connect, a user can access TC2 via a browser or through the mobile app to view a live feed of the camera at any time. A user can also receive push notifications on their phone to be alerted whenever their SkyBell Doorbell Camera has been pressed.
