McDonald's Goes Vegan

Mcdonald’s Introduces the McVegan

Only being rolled out in the southern Finnish city of Tampere.
This trial run of the McVegan will only be available from October 4th to November 21st.
This Soy based burger is 100% plant based topped with lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles and of course Vegan McFeast sauce. To accompany the McVegan are vegan french fries, which might confuse you but believe it or not the french fries at Mcdonald’s in America are not vegan. They are cooked with hydrolyzed milk and beef flavoring. Mcdonald’s in America was actually sued by various vegetarian and religious groups for not disclosing the animal based ingredients.

Mcdonald’s plans to analyze the sales numbers in Finland of the McVegan before deciding to roll it out worldwide. So far the reviews coming in are anything from decent to delicious.
One person wrote “After boycotting McDonald’s for 20+ years I had to try the new McVegan”.
American’s have already gone to twitter, pleading their case why the McVegan should we brought to the States. Mcdonald’s seems to be interested in the vegan market after seeing the popularity of the Impossible burger and the Beyond burger only time will tell if this burger ends up in Mcdonalds around the world. Veganism has increased from being only 1% of the population in the United States in 2014 to 6% of the population today. In Britain the number of vegans has increased 360% of the past decade. According to google search data the term ‘vegan’ has increased in popularity by 90% from 2015 to 2016.
