Shaped similarly to 2GIG's DW10, the Honeywell 5811 is Honeywell's small door and window sensor. WHile the DW10 has a terminal in it much like the 5816 that will allow a homeowner to use it both as a wireless and a wired zone, the 5811 does not have that functionality and acts as nothing more than a wireless door/window sensor. That said, it is the smallest, best selling sensor on the market, and it works like a dream. While most homeowners will simply use the 2GIG DW10 to fit their needs, for those with pre-existing installs, the 5811 or 5816 snesors are going to be the most common wireless sensors to be found. In this video, Sterling gives us a rundown on how, exactly, one installs one of these sensors to the 2GIG Go!Control security system.
