A few months ago I had asked Dave if he would like to do a song with me when things settled down with our summer schedules. I am so glad this is one of two songs he picked to record (Yeah, there is another that we recorded).

I honestly was never a big fan of Matloaf growing up. I felt that his songs were never really the hard rock and roll I was embracing at the time.

I realize now that I underestimated the power of his work and I absolutely cannot deny the emotion he put in his singing. As you can see, I am so glad for this song selection as I grow older. LOL. Times are changing.

As a side note, the banter in the beginning was where we were discussing how this was going to be the last time we sang through it because the take before was pretty good. Once you have something worthy of keeping, you're free to reach further - and that's just what we did. Enjoy!
