Liberal MP Joel Lightbound speaks out against Canadian Covid Measures

Liberal MP Joel Lightbound spoke out (https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/liberal-mp-politicization-pandemic-1.6343730) about his own party's leader and Canadian PM Justin Trudeau's "politicised" and "divisive" Covid measures during a news conference Tue (Feb 8).

"The governments position is, quite frankly, hard to understand .. It's time to stop dividing Canadians, to stop pitting one part of the population against another. I can't help but notice, with regret, that both the tone and the policies of my government changed drastically."

"In Quebec, we locked up kids aged 6-10 for up to ten days in windowless rooms who tested negative and had no symptoms, but who was just a "close contact" to a positive case" - a Public Health Measure.

"It's time to stop with the division and the distractions. It's time to choose positive not coercive methods. It's time to unite."

Liberal MP Yves Robillard also broke rank (https://www.hilltimes.com/2022/02/09/quebec-liberal-mp-robillard-also-breaks-ranks-questions-trudeau-governments-handling-of-pandemic-sides-with-lightbound/343476) (Feb 9) questioning PM Trudeau's handling of the pandemic.

Robillard said in an interview, "I agree with everything that Lightbound said" and "He said exactly what a lot of us think."
