A man living with a rare skin condition which left him unable to walk says he suffered years of hell - and even considered suicide.
Alan Bentley, 63, has had Olmsted Syndrome, which causes hard callouses to form on his feet, since he was a child.
And he says the disorder - also known as mutilating palmoplantar keratoderma (PPK) - has caused him both physical and mental pain all his life.
Alan, from Leek, Staffs., says the intense pain in his feet meant he was forced to crawl around on all fours in his home.
The daily discomfort also led him to hit the bottle, he says - and even thought about taking his own life in his 20s.
