About Jane Orient, MD
Jane Orient is the Executive Director of the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons and has been in solo practice of general internal medicine since 1981. She was formerly on the faculty of the University of Arizona College of Medicine. She received her undergraduate degrees in chemistry and mathematics from the University of Arizona, and her M.D. from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. She is the author of Sapira’s Art and Science of Bedside Diagnosis; the fifth edition has just been published by Lippincott, Williams & Wilkins. She also authored YOUR Doctor Is Not In: Healthy Skepticism about National Health Care, published by Crown. Dr. Orient has appeared on some of the largest TV and Radio Networks in the country and her op-eds have been printed in hundreds of national newspapers, magazines, and websites. She has also been followed on major blogs and covered in the Wall Street Journal and The New York Times.

About the Series
Beyond the Pandemic is an eye-opening local television series designed to break the silence, reveal true stories, and share solutions that can help us all get beyond the pandemic.

This series is a grassroots initiative embarked upon collectively, by the Emperial Group and a growing group of concerned health professionals from various disciplines, in response to what they were hearing from their clients, coupled with loud cries from the community for more balance, inclusion and objectivity in conversations pertaining to
the pandemic.

As a result, the series has been designed to engage a variety of perspectives, share real-life experiences and provide tangible solutions that help address those concerns by providing a viable options that reflect the diversity present in Bermuda and various communities around the world.
