As Russia's military operation in Ukraine enters its seventh day, explosions have been reported at a Kiev TV tower and in the Kharkov region, amid heavy fighting. Horrific destruction of homes in the aftermath of a battle in the Donbass region, where a village has come under the control of the Lugansk militia. EU politicians demand even harsher sanctions against Russia after the bloc decides to ban RT and cut some Russian banks out of the international transaction system SWIFT. However, there are voices in the bloc opposing the establishment's approach to the Ukraine crisis.
