The MOTB was/is anything that identifies one as worshiping the Antichrist, its Great Apostacy, or the Beast, such as participating in transubstantiation, Mariolatry, attending Mass, or persecuting those deemed heretics or dissenters from the accepted norm, or putting the State in the place of God.
2. A peculiarity yet future is the MOTB that requires everyone on the earth to have the mark in order to buy and sell in the beast system - which we see now developing before us.
