Fort Loudoun: Protecting Colonies, Target Of Rebellion

Located off of US Route 30 in Franklin County, Pennsylvania lays a forgotten piece of Colonial America. Fort Loudoun, built in 1756 to protect the pennsylvania frontier against french & native raids, would serve as a supply depot of the Forbes Campaign of 1758. As well as a waypoint along the advance of Henry Bouquet to the Battle of Bushy Run. But it found its place in the final days of its operation when locals began capturing supply convoys bound for Pittsburgh, and began skirmishing with the garrison. This is a short history of a target of the Black Boys Rebellion.
