What is Acanthosis Nigricans? (It's a Risk Factor for WHAT?)

Acanthosis Nigricans (A.N.) is not only an annoying skin symptom that many people suffer from, it can be a red flag for several dangerous medical conditions.

Many skin conditions are evidence of underlying medical issues, and Acanthosis Nigricans is no exception. If you have A.N. you should see your doctor for lab testing and possibly imaging studies, to rule out serious illness.
