Russia fights back in information war with jail warning

MOSCOW – Russia's parliament passed a law on Friday (Mar 4) mandating a 15-year prison sentence for spreading purposefully "false" military news, ratcheting up the information battle over the situation in Ukraine.
Russian officials have repeatedly stated that Russia's opponents, such as the United States and its Western European allies, have distributed false information in an attempt to foment dissension among the Russian people.
