M14 Know Your Rifle pt 5 Stoppages Immediate Action

Compiled from FM 23-8 &TM 9-1005-223-12 Department of the Army publications. I go through the Stoppages, Causes, & Remedies for each. Though there are only 10 types of stoppages (malfunctions) there may be many causes. You will note that many times Lack of Lubrication and or Magazines are the cause and solution to problems that occur. Lack of cleaning also ranks high. The Army is very systematic and collects data on everything. Much like in the sports world. As they see problems that occur more than a few times they rank them. So number 1 on the list is probably the most common issue and 10 the least.
