Prepping for Branding

We are getting prepared and ready to do branding this week. We check the corral to make sure the chute is set up and the terrain is not muddy, we talk about rounding up the cattle into the corral and we discuss why we brand the cows. Additionally to get ready for branding, we will make sure we have all our supplies: branding iron, ear tags and all required vaccines. We will check the weather for branding day and gather up any willing family or friends to help.
