90-Year-Old Jack Hande Explains What It Was Like to Grow Up in Silverton During World War 2

Jack Hande is 90 years old, and he grew up in Silverton. Towards the end of World War 2, he was just 14 years old. He was responsible for keeping an eye out for enemy aircraft at the observatory posts that can now be found next to the Silverton Country Historical Society Museum. This is his story!
