This is the beginning of my new south facing window shelf catering to the warm growing low-land orchid species, new west facing window shelf catering to intermediate/cool growers from Central/South America, as well as a new east facing window for the mountain cool growers from Central/South America.

These are my adventures with my stanhopeas, 10 year old + original boyz, and cool growing orchids on a west facing apartment window shelf and outside on a rental property.
This is my story from growing 500+ orchids in the decade of the 1990s, to putting up a shelf in the late winter 21 to just grow heirloom tomato seedlings and veg, to going insane buying orchids and building the most natural and efficient growing conditions possible in a old restaurant (1900) converted to an apt., step by step, so all my orchids can bloom and enjoy their lives!!
