The Haunted Remains of Allegheny Airlines Flight 853 Crash Site, 1969

Tuesday afternoon, September 9th, 1969, 83 people perished in a farmer's field near Fairland, Indiana. A Piper Cherokee single engine plane and a DC9. The tail of the airliner sheared off by the Cherokee, the DC9 plummeted to the ground at 400 MPH. Pieces of the wreckage are still in the dirt. I chose specifically not to include old film footage and photos of the incident that day, out of respect for the dead and their families. Let's just remember, they were all loved ones of someone.
