Is Ketamine a Miracle Drug? Recent Research and Personal Experience.

When most people think of ketamine, they associate the dissociative drug with music festivals, raves and other debauched, recreational drug consuming events. And while it is true that ketamine is slightly more dangerous than most of the other psychedelic medicines such as LSD and psilocybin, ketamine is proving efficacious for serious, treatment-resistant depression and drug addiction. In fact, certain dangers presented by LSD and other psychedelics for people with certain mental illnesses are not a concern with ketamine treatment.
As a person that has suffered from debilitating illness and pain for many decades, I am unfortunately no stranger to opioid dependency. Withdrawal from opioids prevents many people from escaping their addiction. Drugs such as suboxone and methadone are quite frankly a complete joke, and often do more harm than good. Expensive rehabs are often not within the reach of addicts. Even kratom, the South Asian tree often used to relieve withdrawal or as an opioid replacer can cause terrible withdrawals.
