I spent a fortune formatting a book, but was it worth the money? Here is what I spent.

A few years ago, while publishing a book of nearly 80,000 words, 230 pages, with 70 300dpi images, I hired a formatting company, a proofreader and a copyeditor. I also had a couple of volunteer proofreaders go through the manuscript.
