Sunday Longplay - Golf (NES)

This week on Sunday Longplay, I'm exploring the origins of the Nintendo Entertainment System with one of the entries in the "Black Box" series of NES launch titles. Welcome to Golf on the NES!

Video game titles don't get any more self-explanatory than this. You play 18 holes of golf trying to get the lowest score possible. There are three modes to choose from: 1-player stroke play where you play solo for as low of a score as possible challenging your own previous records, 2-player stroke play where two players compete for a lower total score across 18 holes, and 2-player match play where two players compete to win more individual holes.

There is an easter egg of this game hidden inside the Nintendo Switch firmware as a tribute to Nintendo's fallen former CEO Satoru Iwata.
