DEFINING EVIL

When a educated pagan tries to define evil with big words and big theories?

He was unable to do it because he had no basis for truth, he had no place to start, he couldn't define good therefore he couldn't define evil?

Pro 8:13  The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogance, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate. 

The simple equation is if you love God then you hate what God hates?

So what is evil how do you define it? In it's basic form evil is simply darkness, evil is everything that God is not.

1Jn 1:5  This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. 
1Jn 1:6  If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: 

This is my question are you walking in darkness and if so how do you remedy that situation?

It's simply a matter of focus, you focus on God you focus on Light and that expels all darkness.

Eph 2:10  For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. 

You have to choose to look away from the light and into the darkness and when you do that the evil advances towards you.

Psa 23:3  He restores my soul: he leads me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. 

The only way to keep evil at bay is to focus on The Light and The Light will expel the darkness where all evil dwells.
