God inspired Zephaniah to warn the rulers and people of Judah that #punishment was coming because of their #sins, especially #idolatry. Some had turned away from following God, but others claimed to follow God yet still participated in false #worship. God would punish the rulers and the pagan priests who led the people into error, but He would also punish the people themselves.
