A Slice of Do It or Die

Hard to believe it's been 50 years now but Don McLean's "American Pie" still resonates even now so, it leads off today's Segue City Special with the Atlanta Rhythm Section following up with the appropriate "Do It or Die." Thematically the two songs fit together. Not sure if they're like peas and carrots, but it does get the job done, the segue finished and a sunny day outside for us to run around in now that the rain and the cold is behind us again, for at least a little while...

Segue City is a recurring short-form programming element. At some point it will be a part of "The Big Kahuna." That’s an Internet Radio format that’s a part of Global Entertainment Technology that was created by Dain L. Schult.

It revives the art of mixing two songs together in a seamless pattern where it is tough to tell where the first song ended and the second one began. Sometimes the segues may also revolve around thematic ideas like matching or similar song titles.

Other times there's hidden meanings and Easter Eggs in the mix as well. We'll try anything because no two Segue City Specials will ever be exactly the same...
