Russian citizens are INNOCENT, why target them?

Russia has been slammed by corporations and governments alike with sanctions over their war with Ukraine. Mcdonalds, Sony, Disney, Nintendo, Goldman Sachs, and hundreds of other companies have withdrawn from Russia, and numerous countries have sanctioned Russia as well. The United States recently banned Russian oil from flowing into it's nation. As many have pointed out, these sanctions do not merely impact Putin or the oligarchs. They also attack the citizens of Russia.

Mr. Watson explains why this is the case, and uses the natural principles of justice to critique the West's approach to dealing with Russian aggression. He also suggests that we see people not as abstract nations, but as real, measurable individuals who deserve mutual respect. The opposite, he argues, is the basis for moral atrocity against otherwise innocent people.
