What's the best memorization technique
Spaced repetition is the best memorization technique . It’s a simple experiment, but has surprisingly powerful implications for effective study.
Spaced repetition is a specific type of learning technique that involves using different methods to keep information from disappearing from your long-term memory. There are many different variations of this method and what makes it unique is its use of time as an important factor in studying information. It’s so powerful that multiple scientific studies have shown it to be superior in remembering new information when compared with other forms of study such as reading or listening…and it’s free!
Spaced repetition works by repeating material over short periods of time before increasing the intervals. Here’s an example:
First, the material is introduced and you review it multiple times over the span of a few days. After those initial reviews, you would then wait a week before reviewing it again. Then, after another week and another review, you would wait two weeks. This cycle continues until the information is solidly in your long-term memory.
