Remember that Gerald Casale ( founder of the band Devo), witnessed a horrifying happening:

Members of the Ohio national guard fired into a crowd of Kent State University demonstrators killing four and wounding nine...

some people that he knew were killed.

not all humans have empathy; they can simply kill because they're following orders or because they think it's the right thing or because they simply don't like so and so are such and such.

Devo is one of my favorite bands and I grieve with Jerry.
