Man on Fire (bad things happen.)

Why do bad things happen to people? None of us are good but does God tell us why there are cursed people? And even the saved, why do they suffer? The answer is in the Bible right in the same chapter as John 3:16, For God so loved the world..." There is the wrath of God and the wrath of men. Either way you could suffer. Christians are not exempt from suffering. I know a person who died of covid, was he cursed or was he a martyr?
