The helicopter was fired at 18 times by MANPADS from the ground and anti-aircraft guns. Having received damage, the crew made an emergency landing and took up a circular defense, which they held despite the continuous fire impact of the AFU units until the arrival of the second helicopter strike group.

The crew of the damaged helicopter was not injured and was evacuated to the home airfield by the second helicopter strike group.
