Illegal Search of illegal immigrant by ICE leads to suppression

The law applies to everyone, and just because you are an illegal immigrant does not mean the police can themselves break the law. This story reveal just such a situation. ICE conducted immigration raids in (possible) response to a plan by a city to issue ID cards to illegal immigration. The ICE raids were so suspect, the appeal board kept reversing the decisions of the immigration judge, for further and further factual findings, related to the motives and actions of the ICE officers.
