Biden’s Securities and Exchange Commission released proposed rules yesterday for publicly traded companies that would compel those firms to disclose a range of climate-related information to shareholders. Information such as climate-related risks and estimated greenhouse gas emissions.
Oh boyfriend! I can't wait. That is exactly what I need to know when I'm considering an investment.
Well, that and the political leanings of the board of directors. Give me an ESG score for the company and those who run it.
Forget profit, growth potential, stability and market saturation. My 401k is more about social justice and environmental wokeness than earning money or retirement. After all, if my 401k doesn't work there is always social security, right?
