The reason the WNBA is not as profitable or popular as the NBA has nothing to do with gender politics and everything to do with money and quality of competition. The reason the WNBA is less popular than the WNBA is the same reason College Basketball is more popular than High School Basketball. The level of competition is higher, the players are more skilled and so it attracts more spectators thus more money.
