A Love Kissed Sky
When air’s calm and luminance of day’s hidden from sight,
I view a velvet sky in the Cosmos with delight.
The vista’s majesty whisks me to a place in time,
where I’m bound in eternity void of ‘morrow’s chime.

The sun is cloaked by shroud of eve as past bids farewell.
Impending hours tick on with yarns of intrigue to tell.
Day melds behind clouds as earth spins a lullaby tune.
Night yawns & bids day adieu as moonbeams kiss the moon.

I, but a humble mortal, with awe observe night’s sky,
am overcome by eternal beauty, so I sigh
“Sleep tight my Baby
Your light of love shines from above.”
