My Experience Getting A Ham Radio License (& Steps For Preppers)

Radio communications allows for regional and worldwide information to be at your fingertips. We take for granted the tremendous advantages of the internet and having instantaneous communication. Ham radio (amateur radio) in the United States allows residents to get on long range communications devices with a license to freely communicate with others with and even without any infrastructure support. 2 Meter communication is possible under the Technician license and allows for communication around your local area out to possibly a hundred miles. (depending on repeaters.)
