So, I’m a big fan of film noir and have had a go at producing a few of my own, I’ve made 4 so far and I’ll try and keep em coming for you.

The Talented Ms Markle
An Actress of Sorts
Act One

From a young age she needs to be noticed,
Her dream to be rich and famous,
Not impossible, but bold nonetheless,
And so, begins the calculated process,
Renowned for ambition but lacking in talent,
She is forced to play bit parts and do commercials,
Her obstinance and egocentric self-belief,
Coupled with her grandiosity and wild ambition,
Eventually land her a place as a suitcase girl,
Ever ready to turn on her many charms,
Ever seeking to better her circumstances,
By now a well-practiced opportunist,
Her opportunistic ways see her marry a man with scope,
She eventually lands a secondary character role,
A Z list actress on a cable TV show,
Her marriage ends,
But she soon pairs with another,
She confides in a friend that she wants a famous Englishman,
A likely target comes into view,
A protected, petulant and flaky Prince,
He’s ripe for the picking,
She wastes no time and moves in swiftly,
She clutches tightly to her prize,
There’s no escaping her tight grip,
After a brief courtship he proposes marriage,
The warnings are sounded,
They become alarmingly shrill,
Alas they go unheeded,
A rush to the altar,
The fate is sealed,
End of Act One.
