An Actress of Sorts
Act Two

Their I Do’s barely uttered,
And the whispers begin,
Did she demand a certain tiara?
Is there tension between the two sisters-in-law?
Are the once close brothers no longer getting along?
The staff departures begin,
Talk of diva behaviour grows ever louder,
The rumblings begin behind the scenes,
Insiders label her difficult,
Eventually the stories break in the media,
The couple, it is said, are bully’s and difficult to please,
They say she’s not a willing follower of Royal protocols,
It’s alleged she throws F bombs, tantrums and hot tea!
They say she lacks manners, patience and grace,
She pens a letter to her father,
He announces it as ‘Like a dagger to the heart”,
Questions arise about her true motives,
People begin to question what has changed in him?
This side of him, was it there all along?
They virtue signal,
They merchandise,
They wear the people down with their hypocrisy,
Do they sense tolerance for them is low?
Perhaps this is why they decide to go,
An exit so swift, shocking and brutal,
Leaves many bewildered, betrayed and confused,
Relationships shattered,
Hearts forever broken,
End of Act Two.
