Today, we uncover the finished breadboard in this reimagined germanium transistor fuzz, utilizing MP38 Transistors, built by my friend Caleb of Barton High Voltage. He's been building high wattage amplifiers these days, or so the name sort of implies. You can check him out over at instagram: @barton_high_voltage
At this point in the build we've got 1 soft clipping, and one hard clipping diode stages, and added 4 buffers from some SC1815 silicon transistors harvested from an SM Pro Audio 8 Pre, 8 channel mic preamp. Funny enough, these consoles utilize all the parts that build tube screamers, as well as other opamp distortions, including the 1N4148 diodes, as well as the 4558 opamp ICs.
