With fears of cancellation or lack of traditional publishing route backing, many writers go through some mental gymnastics to see if they can even write the stories they want to. To top it off, even the most popular word processing software in the world now has a sensitivity setting and profanity filter. So what can a writer do to create work that pushes the envelope, that is brave? Best answer: Self-publish. Ben has some general advice to help out those writers looking into that path.
