Rick Rescorla was from Cornwall in England. He went on to serve with the British Parachute regiment and The Rhodesian police, before signing up for the U.S. army. Serving with the 175th Cavalry Regiment, Rick was posted to Vietnam, where his platoon named him 'Hard-core', for his bravery and compassion. Colonel Moore described Rick as, 'The best platoon leader I ever saw'. In civilian life, Rick became head of security for Morgan-Stanley and on September 11th, 2001, his actions saved the lives of over 2,700 people, from the world's trade centre. He was last seen running back up the stairs, eagerly looking for more souls to save.
