CRYPTO PARADISE: Blockchain aficionados plan for metropolis

A 800-acre island belonging to Vanuatu is to be developed “into a real-world crypto economy and blockchain based democracy” by a company called Satoshi Island Limited.

The island is named after Bitcoin creator Satoshi Nakamoto and features a cryptocurrency-based economy and NFT ownership of assets and rights.

Anyone can purchase a NFT-spot on the island, but the offer is limited - only 21,000 inhabitants are allowed in.
